The car was stopped on the side of the road. It remained there till the sun started to disappear from the sky. The people who passed by wondered why the car was parked in that particular spot. One person put their head up against the window to see what was inside. They quickly moved back from the car and walked away. There was a man in the car, a man with a worn face, a man who looked as if he was about to give up. The man was called William, and he has had a troublesome life. The thoughts of the night that ruined his life are now locked away in a place where his mind can’t reach them. He doesn’t need them anymore. All he needs, is revenge. For the past several years, he has searched for the woman who ruined his life. She killed his young son, and then attempted to kill him. She stabbed him in the back of his left leg as he tried to run away from her. When she did, she quickly fled the house that they had all lived in as a family. It happened last week, the day that all of his searching finally paid off, the day he found her. “Beth” he said. Once he had discovered her whereabouts, he found out about the man she had recently married. He was called Philip. William began to think, and due to this, wondered if she’d try and kill him. William wanted to stop this, but what he wanted more, was to kill the evil woman that wasn’t right in the head, Beth. Why was his car parked in that particular spot? It was just about facing her house, the house where she lived now, with Philip. His head rose when sounds of screaming entered his ears. It was coming from their house. He looked around him, shaking. “A bastard!” he heard someone shot. Without realising it, he started up his car. He turned the wheels in the direction of the house. “This is it, it’s time to end it all” he said to himself with his hands together like he was praying, “please let it be over”. He accelerated. The car moved quickly towards the house. He picked a window, and that was his destination. He saw Beth as the car got closer towards the window. A smile appeared on his face as the car crashed through the window, and then, he had ended it all.

The day was cold, but the sun was shining brightly. Clouds were seen in the north, but the weather report had documented that they would stay away, thus, the day staying good for the most part. The sounds of the town toned down to the loud ringing of the church bells, and the cheers from the crowds of people standing on the steps of the church. They were gathered around a groom and his bride, or, a new husband and wife at this stage. They hadn’t spent many years together. The wife always talked about marriage, so her husband proposed to her only one year after they had met. He got down on one knee in the fancy restaurant where they were celebrating their one year anniversary. Once he saw the look in her eyes, he knew the moment was right. Now, as he stood beside his new wife, he knew he had done the right thing. She turned her head towards him. He looked into her eyes. They weren’t the same. The love that used to be shown through them was not there anymore. His smile disappeared from his face. “Is there something wrong Philip?” she asked in a sly tone as if she had some of the words before. “Not at all my darling” he replied while putting a smile back on his face. The rest of the day was like any other wedding day. The reception was lively, and tiring. Many pictures were taken, words said. The meal wasn’t the nicest due to the poor selection on the menu. As the night came to a close, the newly married couple went upstairs to their hotel room. They kissed passionately, and fell onto the large bed. She began laughing. “What’s so funny?” he asked. “Oh nothing. Just thinking about how much fun we’ll have together” she replied in the same sly tone that she had showed earlier.

“It’s a boy!” exclaimed the nurse as she placed the newborn baby in it’s mothers hands. The nurse looked at the mothers face. Compared to other mothers finally getting to hold the child they had been carrying for months, she was different. Her face didn’t light up. Her smile seemed fake. “Are you okay Beth?” asked the nurse. Beth looked at her baby, and then up at the nurse. “It’s a boy” muttered Beth, “a boy”. The nurse hesitated to say anything. Suddenly, Beth’s face lit up. “It’s a boy!” she exclaimed in a happy tone. The nurse nodded her head and smiled, but, she couldn’t help but notice Beth’s eyes. They seemed focused on the child as if it had done something wrong. Beth looked up at the man she loved, and the father of the newborn. “He’s lovely” he said while smiling. “He sure is William” replied Beth. While she looked at her son, the thoughts began in her head. The plan she didn’t want to happen began. She wanted a daughter, someone she could protect. Her thoughts quickly complied into one, but was left abruptly as William began to speak. “I can’t wait to start our family life, one as a family, with us married” he exclaimed. Beth quickly looked up at him. “Married?” she asked. “Well, someday, yeah” replied William, still looking at his newborn son. It was like he had seen her plan. The years began to pass, and the smile Beth put on everyday got faker and faker. It eventually came to her wedding with William. She began her plan from that point onwards. Their son was now three years old. It was one month after the wedding that she was finally alone with her son. William had just left a moment ago on a business trip. Beth had decided how to carry out the task, so she grabbed a knife from the drawer. She walked over to her son who was asleep. “I wanted you to be a girl Matthew” she said quietly, “a girl called Maria, but then you turned out to be a boy. I knew we should have found out what you were, but William wanted it to be a surprise. I went along with it hoping that God would respect me and give me a girl, but no”. She dangled the knife over the small sleeping body. She slowly began to lower it. A few minutes passed when she heard the front door opening. She turned around quickly to see who it was. “I forgot my briefcase!” exclaimed William as he ran into the room. He stopped at the sight that was in front of him. There was blood everywhere. “What have you done Beth?” he shouted. She started walking towards him, leaving a trail of blood as she went. She ran at him. He ran towards the door, but stopped due to the pain that he felt as his wife stabbed a knife in his leg.

She watched her sister in the front room. It was times like these that she wished she had her mother to help her stop what was about to happen, but she wasn’t in the picture anymore. The warm fire that was burning in the fireplace created large shadows on the wall. Her sister was standing on front of a man. That man was their father. He sat still in his chair. One eye focused on his daughter standing on front of him, the other on the dancing flames of the fire. The girl watching them was also a daughter of his. She would be next. “Get down” he said deeply to his daughter on front oh him. She followed the order, the same order that he had giver her many times. He quickly turned his attention to his other daughter watching them. “You stay there until I say so” he commanded. She nodded her head while her sister started the task that her father loved. His eyes began to close while he started to enjoy the pleasure that his daughter was giving him. While watching the scene that she had watched many times, she thought about the man her father used to be. Her mind wondered back to when she saw photos from the wedding of her mother and father. It wasn’t long after seeing them that her father burned them along with their mothers body. “It’s your turn Beth” commanded her father. She looked at him briefly, and slowly walked over towards him. This happened many other times during her and her sisters childhood. It finally stopped when their father accidentally killed himself when he fell off a balcony while drunk. Her sister hung herself a few months after his passing. She was convinced that the acts he commanded her to do were acts of love, and now that he was gone, there was no point in living. Beth didn’t believe this. She knew what he had made them do was wrong. She knew that the killing of her mother was wrong. Beth knew everything about her father was wrong, everything about men was wrong.

The day was humid, and the sun was shining brightly. Clouds were seen in the south, but the weather report had documented that they would stay away, thus, the day staying good for the most part. The sounds of the town toned down to the loud ringing of the church bells, and the cheers from the crowds of people standing on the steps of the church. They were gathered around a groom and his bride, or, a new husband and wife at this stage. They had spent many years together, and even had a son. The wife never thought about marriage, but once the man she loved mentioned it too her, she couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle. He proposed to her when they were on a romantic break in Sweden. Once he saw the look in her eyes, he knew the moment was right. Now, as he stood beside his new wife, he knew he had done the right thing. She turned her head towards him. He looked into her eyes. They weren’t the same. The love that used to be shown through them was not there anymore. The reception was lively, and tiring. Many pictures were taken, words said. The meal was tasty, but there were reports that some pieces of meat were very tough. As the night came to a close, the newly married couple went upstairs to their hotel room. They kissed passionately, and fell onto the large bed. She began laughing. “What’s so funny?” he asked. “Oh nothing. Just thinking about how much fun we’ll have together” she replied.

June 21, 05:58 PM
Her cheeks were moist from the tears that had fallen on them a few moments ago. She wasn’t crying anymore. The knife remained in her hand while she stood over the body. She quickly began fidgeting. Her lips began to move. “I… I don’t know what to do now” she muttered to herself. She quickly directed her body over towards the sink and began to wash the blood off the knife, and her hands. Her hands let go of the knife, and it made a loud noise as it hit the sink. Her head was now bowed, and she began to laugh. “Oh Philip. Philip, Philip, Philip” she sang to herself, “you had that coming”. Her head rose up with a large smile on her face. “You really were a bastard” she said to herself as she walked over to Philip’s dead body. A puddle of blood was forming around him. “A bastard!” she shouted. She ran over to the table, and took one of the chairs that was placed around it. She threw it at the lifeless body, and then threw another one. Her attention quickly turned to her son who was watching her through the kitchens window. “Are you happy now?” she shouted to her son. His lips took the shape of a smile. “Are you smiling at me?” she asked. He turned his back too her, and began to walk up the garden. “Don’t you dare walk away from me!” she shouted. Her body began to move towards the window, but quickly came to a stop. The window shattered to pieces, the wall collapsed, the kitchen cabinets destroyed, her body impaled up against the dresser, Philip’s dead body crushed under the wheel.

“Where are we?” one asked to the other. “I don’t know” replied the other. The two were standing in a shade of white. “I’m happy to see you again” one said. The other smiled. They focused on each other for a moment. Suddenly, the white surroundings changed to the familiar sight of a bedroom. “This is your bedroom Chad!” said one of them. “Yeah, it is” replied Chad. Then they both looked at each other again. “I missed you Luke” said Chad in a subtle tone. “I missed you too” replied Luke. Luke slowly walked over to the bed. “The best thing that I ever did in my life was meet you” said Luke. Chad looked at him, smiling, but confused. Luke sat down on the bed. “The best moment of my life was right here” said Luke. “Mine too” replied Chad. Chad made his way over to Luke, and sat down beside him on the bed. “Are we dead?” asked Chad. Luke laughed. “Kind of” he replied. Chad looked at him. “I love you” he whispered. “I love you too” replied Luke. Luke leaned over. They kissed. “That was nearly as good as the first time” said Chad smiling. Luke looked at him. Chad looked back. They had finally told each other.

He was found only moments after it had happened. His mother looked at her sons dead body. She knew what Gina had felt this time last year. His father started to read the letter his son had wrote before he shot himself. Once he had finished, he turned to his wife. “You” he said to her. “What Ray?” she replied in a hushed tone. Her heart was beating fast. Ray approached her. “It’s our fault” he whispered. She quickly read the letter, drying the tears from her eyes every second. “Oh my God” she said to herself. “It’s out fault Margaret” Ray said, “Chad done this because of us”. Margaret raised her head. “He did this because of you Ray” she replied in an angered tone. “What did you just say?” Ray said slowly. Margaret left the letter fall from her hands into the pool of blood that was dripping onto the floor from the desk. “He did this because of you!” she shouted. At that moment, Ray grabbed her hair and dragged her out into the kitchen. He turned on all the rings of the cooker. Margaret tried to escape his grasp. “Leave me go!” she shouted, “our sons dead body is in there”. Ray wasn’t listening. He put his hand on the back of her head and forced it down on the ring which was now extremely hot. Margaret screamed in pain. “It was your fault!” Ray shouted, “It’s your fault our son is dead!”. He put his arms around Margaret, and threw her on the floor. “It’s your fault” he whispered.

After a few minutes, he noticed Gina looking at him. He quickly ran out of sight, with a gun held tightly in his hand. “No” Gina whispered, “it can’t be”. As he ran down the road, he thought of the gates. He quickly turned in left, down a dark path, and arrived at the gates. He tried to catch his breath. He slowly fell to the ground crying. “I’m sorry” he whispered, I’m so sorry”. He couldn’t breath, his heart was beating too fast. He turned his attention to the gun being held by his shaking hand. He started thinking. He needed to act fast. His eyes focused on the gates. The memories of last weekend began to replay in his head. “Oh God” he whispered as the tears made their way down his cheeks. Suddenly, he got up from the ground and made his way over to the gates. Behind them was an abandoned house that was burned down many years ago. He climbed over the gates, sobbing as he went. He looked for a clean patch of ground. It was too dark. Then he heard something, or someone. He quickly dropped the gun, and buried it. He looked around him. It was quiet now. The night progressed onwards. He didn’t sleep, and he never would again. The next morning, he woke up to find a letter addressed to him. He opened it, his hands shaking. It read, “I know it was you Chad”. Chad knew the handwriting, it was Gina’s. He looked at his reflection in the hall mirror. He would never be the same again.

“Are you looking at me? In my house?” he asked. “Luke, shut up!” replied Chad. “What? It’s funny!” replied Luke in a sarcastic tone. Chad gave him a funny look. “Look, I need to get this homework done, so if you’re gonna annoy me, go home!” said Chad. “No, I’m staying, I have my homework done, and it amuses me to annoy you when you’re busy doing your homework” replied Luke. Chad rolled his eyes and continued writing his English paper. They were both lying on Chad’s bed. Luke got up. “I’m getting something to drink, want anything?” he asked. Chad pointed his finger towards the door. “What? Oh, okay, I’ll shut up” replied Luke. As Luke walked out, Chad focused his eyes on him and smiled. As the afternoon passed on, the two started watching television. “You know I hate this show!” Luke shouted in a friendly tone. “I know” replied Chad with a smirk on his face. The two were the best of friends, they always had been. As the evening got late, Luke decided to go home. “Can I stay over” asked Luke in a sarcastic tone. “Eh, no” replied Chad. As they both walked out into the hallway, they both look at each other. It was the first time that they felt awkward for some reason. “Well, I’ll see you tomorrow” said Luke as he walked out the door. Chad nodded, and waved goodbye. He closed the door and looked at his reflection in the mirror. He smiled.

April 27, 02:30 PM
She lay on the cold ground holding the dead body of her son. Her clothes were covered in his blood. Her face showed no emotion, she was in too much shock to show anything. As the neighbours began to leave their Christmas celebrations to see what had happened, the emergency services pulled up to where the woman was lying. As everyone gathered around her, she looked around quickly. “Get away, leave us alone!” she shouted. “Gina, it’s okay!” said one of the nighbours with tears in their eyes. “No!” shouted Gina, “Get away!”. She held onto his body even tighter. “It’s okay” she whispered, “it’s okay”. A police man got down in front of her. “We have to take his body now” he said in a subtle tone. Gina looked at him for a moment. Suddenly, she got up, still holding the body, and started to run in the other direction. She was quickly stopped, with her sons body taken from her. “Luke!” she shouted, “I… I… can’t”. She fell to the ground crying. While this was all happening, a young man looked on. After a few minutes, he noticed Gina looking at him. He quickly ran out of sight, with a gun held tightly in his hand. “No” Gina whispered, “it can’t be”.

April 27, 02:30 PM
Her face was after swelling from the events of a few nights ago. She didn’t care. When her tears touched her blisters, she’d bite her lip. As the service finished up, she made her way up to the coffin, holding onto her husbands arm. She didn’t know why, she just didn’t want anyone to know about them. Her head peaked over the open coffin. There he lay, her son. She burst into tears. Her husband put his arms around her. She stopped for a moment and looked at him. He looked at her, his eyes showed anger. In the crowd was another woman. She too had lost a son, only a year ago actually. Her face showed many emotions, the main one confusion. Most people were confused as the boy who was in the coffin had shot himself. She walked up to the woman at the coffin. “I’m so sorry Margaret” she said. “Thank you Gina” Margaret replied. Gina put her arm on Margaret’s shoulder. She quickly looked at Margaret’s husband. “You too Ray” Gina said. “Thanks” replied Ray in an angered tone. Margaret noticed this, and decided to walk away, but before she did, she looked at the boy in the coffin. “I forgive you” she whispered, “Mr. Chad”.

Chad was born sixteen years ago into a small family. He never had a good relationship with his parents, Ray and Margaret. Chad had no siblings, so his life at home was lonely. Throughout the years, he noticed that his parents were beginning to grow apart, and due to this, a strong change in his father. They began to argue every evening, but never in front of Chad. He attended the local school in his town, which he hated almost as much as his best friend Luke. Lately, him and Luke were growing closer, but not in the way either of them intended. Social wise, Chad was extremely shy. This was because of his lonely and painful life at home. I suppose you could say that Chad’s life was horrible, and when he admitted this to himself, he decided to finish it.

April 26, 01:08 PM
As they both lay there looking up at the ceiling, the sun began to peer in through the curtains. “Good morning?” asked one to the other. They both laughed. “It’s the first time I’ve stayed up all night” said one to the other. “That’s good right?” asked the other. They both laughed again. Their laughter was interrupted by the vibration of a mobile phone. The young man got up to get his phone. “Damn, I have to go” he said. “What?” asked the other young man. “It’s Brian, he’s going to town now, and I need a lift in” replied the young man, “but I suppose I could stay here instead?”. As the two young men spent the morning together, they talked about their feelings for each other, and even showed it at times. As the clock struck midday, one young man was making his way towards the door, with the other following behind him. “Thanks for last night Luke” said the young man. Luke smiled, and opened the door. “Luke, wait!” said the young man, “Do you wanna do something tonight?” he asked. “Eh, no Chad, not tonight” replied Luke. “Oh” replied Chad. “No, I mean”, but before Luke could finish his sentence, Chad had shut the door. Luke was going to knock on it, but didn’t, he was too upset.

“Say cheese!” shouted the woman as she took the photo on a ‘throw away’ camera. As she pushed forward the winder, she looked over at the two boys. They were both building a structure from Lego bricks. “This will be the biggest building in the world Mr. Chad” said one to the other. The woman giggled to herself as she left the room. As the two boys continued to build their structure, an older boy walked in. He made his way over to where the two younger boys were, took their structure, and threw it on the floor. “Brian!” shouted one of the boys as he started to cry. The woman rushed in. “Brian, why do you always have to ruin their fun?” she asked in an angered tone. Brian didn’t reply to his mother, he ran out of the room instead. The woman bent down in front of the crying boy. “I’m sorry Lukey, your brother is just being silly” she said in a hushed tone. Looking on was the other young boy. He had began to pick up the Lego bricks from the ground. “Can we start again Mr. Luke?” he asked. “I guess” replied Luke, “but this time, the building will be bigger!”.

“Who the fuck do you think you are?” shouted the man. “I’m sorry” replied the woman with tears in her eyes. “I’m the one who has to go out each and everyday for this family, I’m the only income coming into this house, no one else” said the man. “I said I’m sorry!” replied the woman. The tears began to make their way down her face. The man looked at her, “Your pathetic!” he shouted. The woman didn’t reply. He stared at her for a moment, and then, it happened. She saw it coming, but didn’t expect how forceful he would be. She was thrown across the kitchen until she fell against the cupboard. She put her hand up to her face to try and ease the pain. She quickly arose from the floor, walked over to the cooker, and continued cooking. The man turned his face over to the door. He thought he had seen something, but ignored it, and sat down. Out in the hallway was a young man. There was tears in his eyes from what he had just seen. “That’s the first time he has hit her” he muttered to himself. As a tear fell from his eye, there was a shout from the kitchen, “Chad, dinner!”. As he walked into the kitchen, he stared at his father. As he sat down to the table, his mother looked at him, trying to hide the redness of her face. “How was your day?” she asked. “Okay” replied Chad in a shallow tone, “just okay”.

April 25, 04:06 PM
Luke’s eyes opened widely. “Chad, what’s wrong? Why are you holding a gun?” he stuttered. Chad didn’t say anything. He looked at the gun he was holding. He slowly raised the gun, and pointed it. “What the hell are you doing!?” shouted Luke. “Everyday, every damn day I walk into that school” stuttered Chad, “and the shit I have to put up with, it’s just, and then I go home to two people who never ever stop arguing, and this evening, he hit her!”. “Chad, we can figure this out” said Luke. “Just shut up, stop being the heroic idiot” replied Chad. Luke looked at him with tears in his eyes. “What about last weekend? What about me?” asked Luke. “That was nothing, if anything, that added to this” replied Chad in an angered tone. At that moment, Luke’s heart broke. Chad quickly turned the gun on himself. “Chad!” shouted Luke as he ran over to him. The two wrestled for a moment, and then it happened. Chad looked upon the blood on his hands coming from Luke. “No” whispered Chad. He stood still while holding Luke’s dead body. In his sight, he saw Gina running towards him. Chad quickly dropped the body, and ran. As he exited the estate, he heard Gina’s cries. He fell up against the wall and began to cry.

As some random music played, the young man sat down to his desk. He turned on his computer, and suddenly noticed the date. It was one year today. As he logged onto his computer, he began to remember the events. His eyes quickly focused on a photo from a few years back of himself and the friend he once had. The caption below it read “Mr. Chad and Mr. Luke”. The young man’s bottom lip began to quiver. He opened up the word processor and began writing a letter of some sort. It was addressed to his parents. In it, he wrote about the torture they had put him through with their fighting and abuse. He also wrote about the friend he was thinking about, the one who he had killed accidentally one year ago today. When he was finished typing, he printed out the letter, put it in an envelope, and left it on his desk. He looked up at the ceiling for a moment. “It’s time” he said, and with that, he took out a gun from the drawer below his desk. It was the same gun he had used one year ago today. He pressed it to his head. It was cold. His face was blank, and with that, he pulled the trigger.

January 31, 05:04 PM
After a few months of not meeting, the two finally did. They talked for a while, and then it happened. The awkwardness between them had finally reached it’s height. “Oh” said one of them. The other just stood there, and stared at the ground. “I’m sorry, I just… I wanted too” he said. The other didn’t reply. One of them started to walk away. “Where are you going?” he asked. “Just follow me” he replied. The two walked together, until one of them stopped, and looked back at the gates. “Remember when we were small, and we used hang around here every minute of every day?” he asked. “Yeah, when life was actually normal” the other replied. They continued walking, until they got to his house. “Are you going in?” he asked. “Yeah, but you’re coming in with me” he replied. “Oh” he said, and with that, the two entered the house.

“Mam, you need to get home!” Luke shouted down the phone. He repeated the sentence a few times until his mother finally heard what he said. He quickly put down the phone, and pushed his way down the stairs. The music was loud, the house was full of people, and he was someone who wasn’t good in these situations. He stopped for a moment, took a deep breath, and continued pushing past people he didn’t know. “Brian!” he shouted. His vision suddenly became blurred, and he tripped onto the outside terrace. He put his hand to his head, and slowly got to his feet. Brain quickly appeared in front of Luke. “Mam’s home! Did you call her?” asked Brian in an angered tone. “This party has gotten out of control Brian! I had to call her!” replied Luke. “You fucking idiot! This was my one chance to actually have a good time!” replied Brian. Luke put his hand to his head, he couldn’t keep his balance. “I fucking hate you!” shouted Brian, and aggressively pushed Luke. Luke fell to the hard concrete ground, and a moment after, a pool of blood started to become visible around Luke’s head.

The fog was heavy, but no one was advising against driving, so he said he was going to go to the city anyway. As he was about to go out the door, Gina quickly stood in front of him. “When will you be back?” she asked. “Tomorrow night, I just have some business to take care of in the office” replied the man. A loud cry came from the back room. “He’s awake, already? I don’t even have the dinner ready yet!” said Gina. The man quickly pushed past her, opened the door, waved goodbye, and took off in his car. Gina wasn’t impressed with this attitude that he had been putting on for the past few weeks. She shook her head, and rushed off to stop the baby crying. In the car, the man was going over the speed limit. He decided to go the coastal road just in case anyone saw where he was going. Suddenly, the road under the car disappeared, and the car quickly began to fall. A few hours later, Gina received a call telling her that her husband was dead.

January 28, 07:36 AM
The only sound that could be heard in the church was the heavy rain pouring down on the roof. A woman walking broke the silence. She slowly made her way up to the coffin, placed her hand on the dead body, left a tear fall from her eye, and quickly moved away with a friend comforting her. “We can get though this, ya’ here me Gina?” the friend said. Next up to the coffin was a young man. He glanced at the dead body for a moment. Suddenly, his lips began to move. “I’m sorry I caused you so much pain” the young man mumbled, “I just… I… I loved you”. The young man quickly walked off to the side, trying not to cry. Gina put her hand on the young man’s shoulder. “Thank you for being such a great friend to him Chad” Gina said. Chad looked at her, and smiled. “Yeah” Chad muttered, “Yeah”.

January 18, 06:40 PM
“Get off my fucking screen, you idiot” he mumbled to himself. Suddenly, his mobile phone started vibrating. He answered it quickly. “Hello?” he asked. “Hey Luke, what’s up?” said the voice. “Oh, Chad, hey. Eh, not much, just browsing the net, bored. You?” Luke replied. “Meh, watched a DVD, ate some crap, bored too” replied Chad. There was a moment of silence. “Did you want something?” asked Luke. “Eh… I was just wondering… if you wanted to… meet up, or something?” replied Chad. Liam wondered for a second. “Eh, yeah, sure. Tomorrow, outside the gates?” asked Luke. “Sounds good!” replied Chad with the sound of content in his voice. Luke quickly disconnected the call, placed the phone back on the desk, and smiled.

Luke was born seventeen years ago into a family that loved him, well, most of the family anyway. His best relationship was with his mother, Gina. He never knew his father, as he died when Luke was a baby. Luke had an older brother named Brian, and they got on well, but after the party last year, things hadn’t been the same between them. Luke was attending the local school in his town, which he hated. Social wise, Luke wasn’t the outgoing type, but at times, he could be the ‘hit of the party’. His best friend was Chad, and they got on really well. They had known each other for years, but awkwardness was beginning to build between them. I suppose you could say Luke was an average guy, but that would be wrong.

While the rest of his family were sitting inside, around a nice fire, waiting for Father Christmas to arrive, he was outside with with Chad. “I got your text Chad, what’s wrong?” asked Luke. Chad emerged from the shadows. His eyes were full of tears, his body was shaking, and in his hand was a gun. Luke’s eyes opened widely. “Chad, what’s wrong? Why are you holding a gun?” he stuttered. Chad didn’t say anything. He looked at the gun he was holding. He slowly raised the gun, and pointed it. Inside, Gina laid out some food for everyone. “Dig in, or else it’ll”, but before she could finish her sentence, her attention turned to the sound of a gun shot from outside.

The only noise that could be heard throughout the house was the loud singing that was coming from the bathroom. He started with one song, finished singing all of it, and began another one. During the middle of one of the songs, the singing suddenly stopped. “Luke” she shouted, “Are you okay?”. “Yeah” shouted the voice from the bathroom. He wasn’t though. His vision was blurry, so blurry in fact, that he lost his balance for a moment. He quickly grabbed the towel, and began to dry his eyes. A few moments later, his vision returned. He was dazed about what just happened, but decided to ignore it. A moment later, the house was once again filled with Luke’s wonderful singing.

“The Canyon” by Jerry D. Drew, circa 1922.
There was no further description for this photo, but the pointed building looks like the Woolworth Building, which would place this photo in Lower Manhattan, New York City, on Broadway looking uptown.
In fact, it would’ve had to have been photographed right about here, at the north end of Bowling Green, where the then-existing streetcar tracks of the Broadway Line would’ve curved, just like in the photo.

“Maids o’ the Mist” by Jerry D. Drew and his wife Helen W. Drew, circa 1921.
In their own words: “This picture was made with a vest pocket Kodak fitted with a Goerz Dagor F 6.3. It was a rainy day and the camera user made his exposure under an umbrella. The film was enlarged to 6½×8½ on Illingworth De Luxe paper, cream-colored stock, imported from England—took about three months to get it.”
Yes, the quality of this photo is really poor, but I just loved the description that came with it and it reminds me of this photo by Edward Steichen.

Tee of the Day: “Earth’s Krust” by David Staffell.
Staffell explains the origins of this design:
This design came to me by accident. I was googling around the subject of Krusty the clown for a simpsons themed tee design, and the autocorrect directed me towards images of the cross sectioned earth. I noticed the magma core matched the colour of Krusty’s nose and…that was a thoroughly boring story, sorry.

Anyone else remember GammaCookie? Probably not, so I’ve decided to put together a small video of our best bits (in my opinion) from throughout the years. Why did I make this? I’m not sure, maybe it’s a goodbye from me (I’m not too sure).

Hi, I can't think of anything interesting to ask, but your Snoop Dogg rapping skills are highly amazing. I just thought you should know this. I almost thought you were Snoop for a second there. You should look into that, becoming Snoop permanently etc. BUT SERIOUSLY YO, A GENUINE WELL DONE AND A + ON THE KATY PERRY COVER FRONT. It got my stamp of approval. I forgot to come here and tell you this when I watched it. I am behind on the times now, yes. I'm a rebel like that.
Thanks for that feedback, it warms my heart. Maybe I should dedicate my next rap single to you, because I’m all like Snoop Dogg? Yeah, that sounds good.
